Cycle Training Checklist for Parents in Mumbai: Before the First Class
The short answer: before your child's first cycle class, check the cycle size, safety gear, practice space and timing, and tell your child that falling a little is normal.
Check the cycle size and condition
Your child should place both feet flat on the ground with the seat lowered. Check tyre pressure, brakes and that the handlebar is tight. Read our guide to the right cycle size for kids.
Keep safety gear and shoes ready
A helmet that fits, knee and elbow pads and closed shoes. Experative provides safety gear for its classes at no extra cost.
Choose a safe practice space
A society compound or parking area at a quiet hour works well. Inform your society if needed and keep the space clear of vehicles.
Pick a good time of day
Mornings and evenings are cooler and quieter. Experative classes run seven days a week, roughly 6 AM to 8 PM.
Talk to your child
Explain that the first lessons are about balance, not speed. Praise effort, not perfection, and avoid comparing with other children.
Know how your data is used
We ask only for your name, phone number, area and your child's age to schedule classes, and we publish photos or videos of children only with parent consent. See our privacy policy.
What happens in the class?
The trainer works only with your child, starting with balance. Most children ride independently in 5 to 8 sessions. See kids cycle training.
