The trainer lowers your cycle seat so your feet rest flat on the ground. The pedals are removed. You sit on the cycle, scoot with your feet, and practice letting the cycle roll while your feet hover. By the end of Session 1 most complete beginners are gliding for 3–5 metres without foot contact. The fear disappears faster than you expect.
Each session extends your glide distance. By Session 3 most beginners are balancing for 8–10 metres without touching the ground. The trainer adds gentle turning practice. Session 4 typically involves your first attempt with pedals reattached — and most beginners successfully pedal for the first time by end of Session 4.
Pedalling distance extends each session. Session 5 typically achieves full laps of the compound. Session 6 introduces braking practice — stopping at specific points. Session 7 covers navigating around obstacles and gentle turns at speed. Most beginners are riding independently and confidently by Session 7.
Session 8 is consolidation — longer rides, varied terrain within your compound or park, emergency braking, and building real-world road awareness. At the end of Session 8 you will cycle fully independently. Most beginners cannot believe how far they have come from Day 1.
